Combine several comic book/story legends together as a super hero squad that is sent to save the world and you get this a really fun movie, in a violent sort of way. Here’s another film I’ve been wanting to see for some time now.
Who would have thought that Alain Quartermaine, Captian Nemo, Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde, among several others, would all end up combining talents to be a super hero squad saving the world from war. Possibly the only actor you’ll readily recognize is Sean Connery who plays famed adventurer Alain Quartermaine. But that shouldn’t deter you from catching this one. It’s filled with action, fantastic sets and special effects, and is a little over the top as you would expect from a comic book type of movie. Set at the end of the 19th century, even though modern technology has yet to burst upon mankind Captain Nemo has a bizarre car and a submarine that today’s navy would love to get their hands on. Yes it is over the top. But who cares. It’s fun and very well done. You won’t regret catching this one if you haven’t already.
