They're all passing. The greats of my generation anyway. I always knew this day would come. This morning we wake up to the sad news that comedic legend George Carlin died yesterday. It really comes as no great surprise since we've all known he's had serious heart problems for years (decades?) now. But surprise or not, it's not something you're eager to see happen. George WAS the cutting edge of raunchy comedy that inspired a legion of followers. He always called it like he saw it, and the way he saw things was just so damned funny! Thanks George for all of those hard belly laughs. You made life a little more bearable.

Wow! Take a look at this! What an amazing photo. Standing in front of this monster had to be totally breathtaking! I only wish I had been there taking one of my own 🙂 I clearly live in the wrong part of the country.

Now that summer has arrived and everyone has secured second (or third) mortgages to buy enough fuel for the annual family vacation, you can add to the joy and excitement of this year’s excursion by driving your very own Family Truckster, straight from the 1983 classic National Lampoon’s Vacation. Of course you’ll first need to talk the guy into selling it to you [you must provide your own Aunt Edna].

My daughter sent this to me and it's fantastic. I'm going to try to remember this from now on.
What does this mean to you?

The trend continues as Harvey Korman passed yesterday at the age of 81. Best known for always laughing at Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show, he also starred in many movies, Blazing Saddles among them. I as one of thousands, will always remember Harvey with fondness. As many of these legends begin to reach this age I fear we'll be losing more of them to the ages. How sad…
Finally! The primary's have arrived in Indiana and not a moment too soon.

I generally like westerns, especially those that are supposedly based on historical fact. This movie sounded good on the outside but was a disappointment to me.
