This is a classic murder mystery/drama with a great twist.
Denzel Washington does an excellent job as an ATF investigator assigned to a case involving a ferry. He (almost accidentally) learns the local FBI office has an experimental device that allows them to see events as they took place, several days earlier. This leads to an interesting time travel twist on a murder investigation. Val Kilmer plays a secondary role as the FBI team leader and relative newcomer Paula Patton is very good as the female lead.
While this is not the same type of goverment conspiracy thriller as Enemy of the State, it's every bit as good.
