That joyous time of year when children wait anxiously for the bounty of their dreams. When the average person smiles a little more, feels a little happier, gives a little more.
A buddy of mine recently gave me a digital copy of an album I bought on vinyl in the early 1980’s and listened to a lot. I haven’t heard it since way back when ever it was that my turntable belt snapped. After many years it’s really good to hear it again. At least for the first few minutes.

I’ve been a huge recycling advocate for many years. I heard today that Indiana puts more trash in landfills per capita than any other state. I can believe it. Most people I know think recycling is stupid and useless, a mindset I do not understand. To me it simply makes logical sense. So while it isn’t earth day or anything like that, in honor of recycling today I’ll post a link for a site that helps you locate recycling centers for any type of item you need to recycle from paper to glass to paint to electronics. Wow! I am totally blessed to have been a part of this worship team. No offense to any others in the past, but this one really, truly, rocked the house. Those in attendance are still talking about it. It was awesome, fun, and such intense worship. I know in my heart God had to be really pleased!
Kerry Livgren, 59, co-founder of the band Kansas, suffered a stroke Tuesday morning. He’s apparently resting after surgery to remove the blood clot. Reports say it was in the language/high skills part of the brain. It’s hard to know how to feel at this moment. He gave his life to Christ in the 1980’s and so that is not a concern. Kerry has been a huge influence on me musically over the years. Huge. It’s just hard to know how to feel.
