Or rather A direction. Sort of.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and reading and learning about things lately. In 8 years of this blog I’ve tried dabbling in several areas from sharing free stuff to cars to tech to politics to faith to movie reviews. Posts have been rather sporadic at best especially in the last few years. I’ve concluded it’s a result of my main problem which also affects my music direction. I enjoy and have an interest in entirely too many things. So many that it’s nearly impossible to decide which direction to go. I must say however that while I haven’t been a huge user of Yamaha gear, I have come in contact with it numerous times and always left the encounter with a positive impression. Not to mention I recently upgraded my home stereo receiver to a new Yamaha and am so far pleased in so much as possible with the newer technology (analog is just much better sounding to my ears). So, hopefully Yamaha will retain the management and creative force behind Line 6, as well as support for their older products, of which I do have one, and support thus far has been fairly solid. We shall see.

Fall has arrived a little early. Will we have an early winter?
Most trials and difficulties in life aren’t really brain surgery. Once in a while, it really is.
Modern Miracles, what a mouthful, right? What do those two words evoke when you see or hear them? In this day often our thoughts move directly to technology, especially related to micro evolution that surrounds us. One thing that comes to mind is a recent development of tiny robotic machines that could one day traverse our veins and spy on health issues. Dare we imagine? How about a cure for cancer, or AIDs or other such plagues against our bodies? How about just eliminating the common cold as we nearly have smallpox? That one I’d like to see. more »
